Everything changed at dawn.
Light revealed the emptiness left behind
when Life got up and walked out of the tomb.
He does that, you know. Jesus does the unexpected.
Even though He told His friends (and enemies)
He wouldn’t stay dead,
they were surprised.
From this side of that morning
we scowl at their disbelief.
So why,
when He tells us that He is with us,
do we stutter and doubt?
He keeps His word.
He loves us.
He lives!

Such a great post, Davalynn! I am, sadly at times, one of those doubters. Thanks for the reminder of God’s faithfulness. And the song! I haven’t heard that one in years!
So happy it was a blessing to you, Jeanne.
One of our Pastors built the Twelve Stations of the Cross around our Sanctuary the Wednesday before Easter. It was so emotional sitting there and realizing what punishment Jesus endured for us! If the physical torment wasn’t enough, He took the sins of all mankind upon Himself! That’s how much Jesus loves us! He was obedient to the Cross!
But He knew He would rise on the Third day. We too can live with Him forever when we decide to give our lives to the Savior. We don’t have to suffer death on a cross. The grave won’t hold us either!
Glory to God!
Amen, Karen. It is truly beyond what we can comprehend – His great love.
