Are We There Yet?

Are we there yet?

Each of us has more than likely asked that question or heard it from the back seat of our car. It’s just so hard to be patient when the road is long.

The work, the race—the pressing on—isn’t easy. But when we want something badly enough, we give the pursuit all we’ve got.

God promised  He’d never abandon us, but would always give us the strength we need. That means we’re not in this roundup alone.

I press on to reach the end of the race

and receive the heavenly prize

for which God, through Christ Jesus, is calling us.

Phil. 3:14 NLT

  1. Thanks for that encouraging word. I’m feeling particularly swamped as the week begins.

      He’s with you, David.

  2. It seems like the last year or more has kept me way too busy. I feel I’m not even enjoying life anymore. Too many demands, and yes, it takes its toll on me. I have finally admitted it to my husband. I told him I can’t keep up with anything else. We just got home yesterday–from vacation, and I think I came back just as tired as when we left!!! 🙂

Karen – Yes, sometimes our get-away doesn’t get us away! Evidently, Jesus knew we had the tendency to overdo when He said, “Come here, I’ll help you rest.” Praying you find that rest this summer and the wonderful, liberating sense of letting go.
